HIM Oba Abimbola Owoade Boosts Healthcare Access with Multimillion Naira Medical Donation to Oyo Community
The new Alaafin of Oyo, HIM Oba Abimbola Owoade, has donated multimillion-naira hospital equipment and medical supplies to the community health center in the town.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his media aide, Bode Durojaiye, in Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital, it was revealed that the advanced medical tools arrived on Friday and are set to be installed at the facility.
Durojaiye emphasized that the donation aligns with Governor Seyi Makinde’s vision of inclusive governance and aims to foster equitable development across the community. “This initiative prioritizes aiding the underprivileged. By constructing the health center and providing these resources, we’re addressing critical healthcare challenges faced by residents,” he explained.
Oba Owoade expressed confidence that the equipment including ultrasound machines and electric beds would significantly improve access to quality medical care.
Local residents who witnessed the delivery praised the monarch’s leadership. Many described him as “a compassionate, visionary leader who combines resilience with actionable goals.” One resident, speaking to reporters, remarked, “Our Paramount Ruler has proven his ability to set practical, measurable targets. His approach reflects SMART goals, specific, achievable, and timely. This is the mark of a truly pragmatic leader.”
